IP Address Error

Please communicate the following to your IT department:

The error is most likely a result of multiple IP addresses. If your clinic uses multiple IP addresses but both are not mapped to a single public IP, it causes problems in WebIZ.

The reason is this:
1. A user connects to WebIZ using IP address #1
2. During high traffic or overflow, the clinic router decides to shift that user session to IP address #2
3. WebIZ sees this as a change in IP address from an authenticated user session
• This change in IP address could be read by our server as an indicator  of a man-in-the-middle attack by hackers.
4. WebIZ throws the error

Please talk to your local IT department/ person to see if they are in fact using multiple IP addresses.  Sometimes this is also referred to as a proxy. To fix this, your IT folks will need to ensure the proxy is ignoring (or has whitelisted) the domain of your WebIZ application.

Please let us know if this resolves the issue. Thank you for your patience and please do not hesitate to give us a call if you have any questions.
